- The Permit Holder must provide a Certificate of Insurance naming the City of Thorold as an additional insured, with a minimum of $2,000,000 liability coverage per occurrence. Insurance may also be purchased through the City.
- Refunds will only be issued for cancellations due to circumstances beyond the Permit Holder’s control (e.g., inclement weather, facility closure, etc.)
- The Permit Holder must ensure proper supervision of all guests and ensure all guests follow facility rules and staff instructions.
- Alcohol and smoking (including tobacco, vape, and cannabis) are not permitted in the pool facility.
- Food and beverages, with the exception of water, are not permitted on the pool deck or in the pool.
- Outside toys and flotation devices, including tubes, noodles, water wings, and similar items, are not permitted in the pool facility.
- Decorations that could damage the facility are not permitted in the pool facility.
- Certified lifeguards will be provided by the City and are required for all rentals. Outside lifeguards are not permitted.
Pool Rentals
Thorold Community Pool is an outdoor facility open annually from late June through Labour Day. It offers six swimming lanes, a beach-style entry, a slide, diving board, splash pad, and an accessible wheelchair ramp for barrier-free entry.
The pool is available for private rentals on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
