The City of Thorold's website uses fixed text (font) sizes, font styles and colours. If any of these settings interferes with your ability to read the City's website, you can override these settings by using the accessibility settings of your browser. The method of changing these setting varies depending on your browser version.

When emailing, please include the nature of your accessibility issue or suggested changes, the web address (URL), the preferred format in which to receive any information you could not access. The Clerks Department will work towards making the web page feature accessible, or provide the information to you in a format that is accessible to you.

The Bell Relay Service allows people with a hearing impairment, people with hearing loss and people with speech disabilities to communicate by phone. Trained operators act as intermediaries to facilitate the call.

Calls places through the Bell Relay service are entire confidential. No record of conversation content is retained.

To use this service:

  • Dial 1-800-855-0511
  • Provide the operator with your name, area code and telephone number
  • Provide the City of Thorold area code and telephone number 905-227-6613
  • The Operator will place the call and tell you to go ahead when City Staff answer

The operator will have to relay the information, so please speak slowly.
