Allanburg Bridge 11 Closure : October 13 to November 11

The bridge will be fully closed to traffic Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. from October 13 to November 11. The bridge will reopen evenings and weekends. 
During the closure, traffic will be detoured via the Thorold Tunnel and the East Main Tunnel.

In May 2024, the City of Thorold introduced the Strategic Plan 2024-2027 and Beyond which outlines our vision for a vibrant, prosperous and sustainable future.

Sustainability: A sustainable community allocates resources to develop and maintain infrastructure that supports environmental, economic, and social well-being.

Extensive consultation has been undertaken with our residents, businesses and community partners along with Council and Staff. We thank them for their time and valuable input.
