Photography at the City of Thorold Events
During programs and events, photographs, video and/or sound recordings may be taken. These images will be used to promote the City of Thorold and its activities, services or programs.
By attending programs and events, you grant permission to the City of Thorold and persons acting for or through them, the right to use, reproduce and/or distribute images, video and sound recordings on the City of Thorold website, social media outlets, and print publications. The photographs, video and sound recordings may be used for an indefinite period of time.
No remotely piloted aircraft, including drones, operated by members of the public or third parties, are permitted to be used or operated at City of Thorold advertised events.
The City of Thorold may operate its own registered drone at advertised events for aerial photography, videography, or other municipal purposes. Any aerial drone operations conducted by or on behalf of the City will be carried out in accordance with all applicable requirements of the Canadian Aviation Regulations and any other applicable federal requirements.
The City of Thorold does not sell the photos or videos to any third parties. However, once these are posted online, they are accessible to anyone. Please speak to a staff member at the event you are attending if you do not wish for your photo to be taken or used.
