Allanburg Bridge 11 Closure : October 13 to November 11

The bridge will be fully closed to traffic Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. from October 13 to November 11. The bridge will reopen evenings and weekends. 
During the closure, traffic will be detoured via the Thorold Tunnel and the East Main Tunnel.

Festival of Lights

Each year, the City of Thorold proudly hosts the Thorold Festival of Lights — a friendly competition allowing residents and businesses to showcase their festive spirit! 

This year's deadline for submission is Friday, December 18, 2026. Submissions can be completed by uploading a photo from the street showing the decorations and information at the button below

After the deadline, submissions will be added to our voting form allowing the public to vote for the best decorated house and business. A winner for best residential entry and best business will be chosen when votes are tallied in the new year.
