Santa Claus Parade

The Thorold Santa Claus Parade has been an annual tradition in the City of Thorold for over 30 years. Each year, families are invited to watch the parade as it travels down Sullivan Avenue and through to our historic downtown Thorold. Experience a festive array of community floats lit up in Twinkling Lights, local bands, marchers and popular characters for a magical evening.

Before the Parade - Join us at Battle of Beaverdams Park

1:30 - 3:30 p.m. Come out and see our tree lit up and take your photo amongst the festive decorations.

• Meet with Santa for free photos and check to make sure your name is on the good list
• Get your face painted for free, sponsored by City of Thorold

• Say hello to Bethesda Services at their information tent, grab some free swag and candy canes
• Enjoy a free hot chocolate or coffee and stay toasty in Bank of Montreal’s warming station

During the Parade

4:00 p.m. The parade will start making its way to downtown Thorold.

• Be sure to bring your letters for Santa to be collected by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers curbside as they walk along in the parade
• Volunteers from Community Care Thorold will be collecting non-perishable food items with their coach bus curbside as they walk along in the parade
• Meet the Niagara River Lions who will be handing out free hot chocolate at the corner of Front St. and Albert St. in downtown Thorold
• Beware! The Grinch is crashing the Thorold Santa Claus Parade—ready to stir up mischief and try to stop Christmas from coming!
