Public Skate is a fun and relaxed way for families and friends to enjoy time on the ice together. Our Skate Patrol staff are on hand to supervise and assist, helping to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Please take a moment to review the Public Skate Rules and Guidelines below before your visit.
Public Skates:
Thursdays - 1-2pm
Fridays - 1-2:30pm
Saturdays - 1:30-3:30pm
Sundays - 1-3pm

Public Skating Rules and Guidelines
- All participants are encouraged to wear a CSA-approved helmet. Bicycle helmets are not permitted.
- Children 12 years and under must be accompanied by a responsible person 16 years or older who must maintain visual contact of them on and off the ice.
- Alcoholic beverages, illegal substances and anyone under the influence will not be permitted on the premises.
- Skates must be worn by everyone on the ice.
- Refrain from carrying children on the ice.
- Please skate at a sensible speed.
- No horseplay is permitted.
- Do not throw ice or snow.
- Do not sit on the boards.
- Profanity and improper behaviour are not permitted.
- You must adhere to the directions of arena staff members.
- Report all accidents or injuries to arena staff members immediately.
- No food or drink are permitted on the ice surface or players' benches.
- No chain skating is permitted and no more than two people are permitted to hold hands.
- Chairs, sleds, pylons, hockey sticks, pucks and other obstructions are not permitted on the ice surface.
- Individuals with serious medical conditions should be accompanied by another person knowledgeable about their condition and responsible for their direct supervision.
- The City does not provide or rent skates or skate aids. CSA approved skate aids are permitted.
