Temporary Road Closures at Sullivan Ave and Towpath St. starting September 21
The Sullivan Avenue and Towpath Street intersection is scheduled to close on Monday, September 21 at 6:00 a.m. for approximately two weeks.
These temporary road closures will affect access to on-street parking near the intersection and Parking Lot 1 as the construction progresses along Sullivan Avenue. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Temporary Road Closure : Crompton Blvd starting September 9
To complete the work safely, Crompton Boulevard will be closed to through traffic from Richmond Street to the south end of Crompton Boulevard. Bolton Avenue will remain open to traffic through the Crompton Boulevard intersection. Richmond Street and Queen Street will also remain open.
The 2026 Final Tax Bill will be mailed on or before June 9, 2026.
Thorold voters will now elect six (6) City Councillors and a Mayor when they vote in the 2026 municipal election, replacing the current structure of eight (8) Councillors and a Mayor.
Take notice that at its meeting on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, the Council of the Thorold has passed By-law No. 37-2026 to designate the St. Johns Common School and the Street/Haney/Miller Mill, municipally known as 3054 Orchard Hill Drive, as properties of cultural heritage value or interest under Part IV, Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Thorold, at its meeting on April 21st, 2026, passed approved an application for Draft Plan of Subdivision for the lands legally described as PLAN D-5 PT UNIT 8, Township of Thorold with consideration of all oral and written submissions made to Council before its decision.
