The City of Thorold is advancing the Hayes Road Watermain Project, which includes the installation of a new watermain along Hayes Road from Allanburg Road to the rail corridor to support existing and future servicing needs.
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Thorold, at its meeting on April 21, passed By-law No. 24-2026 and By-law No. 25-2026 to amend Zoning By-law 60-2019 in accordance with Section 34 of the Planning Act, for the lands legally known as PT TWP LOT 66, Township of Thorold with consideration of all submissions made to Council before its decision.
After much reflection, I am announcing that I will not be seeking re-election in the upcoming Ontario Municipal Elections, on October 26, 2026.
It has been a true honour and privilege to serve the residents of the City of Thorold for the past 12 years, four years as a City Councillor and eight years as your Mayor. I am deeply grateful for the trust and support you have placed in me throughout this time.
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Thorold, at its meeting on April 21st, 2026, passed approved an application for Draft Plan of Subdivision for the lands legally described as PLAN D-5 PT UNIT 8, Township of Thorold with consideration of all oral and written submissions made to Council before its decision.
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Thorold, at its meeting on April 21, 2026, passed By-law No. 22-2026 to amend Zoning By-law 60-2019 in accordance with Section 34 of the Planning Act, for the lands legally known as PT TWP PT LOT 138, Township of Thorold with consideration of all submissions made to Council before its decision.
This Public Information Centre (PIC) is intended to share the final design and provide an opportunity to identify and discuss any questions or considerations related to construction. Display boards present the final design and outline the next steps as the project progresses.
The City of Thorold is hosting a second Public Information Centre (PIC) to gather feedback from residents on the proposed design for the Development Services Office Parking Lot Extension to gather feedback from residents regarding the proposed parking lot expansion at the Development Services Office located at 8 Carleton Street South.
This construction project is currently out for tender, with award anticipated in mid-May 2026. Construction is expected to begin in June 2026, subject to approval and scheduling. Ahead of construction, you may notice condition surveys and photographs of the right-of-way.
The Council of the City of Thorold will consider the adoption of the 2026 Water and Sewer Budgets, at its Council meeting on April 14, 2026.
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Thorold intends to designate the following property at 3054 Orchard Hill Drive as being of cultural heritage value or interest under PART IV, Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 2005, Chapter O.18.
