City of Thorold welcomes everyone for a 3-day Canada Day Celebration
The City of Thorold invites residents and visitors to Battle of Beaverdams Park for three days of free Canada Day celebrations featuring live entertainment, family activities, food vendors, artisans, and community displays.
The festivities begin on Monday, June 29, with a free outdoor Family Movie Night at dusk featuring Zootopia 2. Snacks will be sold by Thorold Minor Soccer.
On Tuesday, June 30, Rock n’ Blues on the Battlefield returns with performances by The Brant Parker Band, Joel Parisien, and Jay Bleus, followed by local favourites Jonesy in the bandshell from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Canada Day celebrations on Wednesday, July 1, begin at 1 p.m. and feature Eddy Prince, Magic Mel, Orangeman, Simply Queen, and Figure Four. The festivities conclude with a free fireworks display at 10 p.m.
Throughout the three-day event, families can enjoy a free Kids Zone featuring magicians, character appearances, face painting, bouncy castles, foam parties, and balloon artists.
An extended licensed patio will be available throughout the park. Outside alcohol is not permitted. Attendees are encouraged to consider walking, cycling, or using public transportation where possible. Limited parking will be available in the downtown area. Dogs are not permitted in the park during the festivities.
