Notice of Public Information Centre for the Museum and Cultural Centre
The City of Thorold is repurposing the old Fire Station #1 into a Museum & Cultural Centre with community gathering spaces and new exhibits on City of Thorold’s rich history. It is starting the interpretive planning and exhibit design process by welcoming ideas from residents at a Public Information Centre (PIC).

City staff would like to gather feedback from residents on the people, places, stories, and events which have shaped Thorold’s past and present. Residents are invited to attend the upcoming PIC to share what they think is uniquely Thorold, to prioritize history important to preserve for future generations, and to meet members from the selected interpretive planning and design team.
Date: Monday, July 6, 2026
Time: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Location: 16 Towpath Street (old Fire Station #1)
