Public Notice : Thorold Remembrance Day Parade and Ceremony

Thorold Legion Branch 17 is holding a Remembrance Day parade and ceremony on Tuesday, November 11 at Memorial Park.

The Remembrance Day Parade will begin in the parking lot behind Thorold Legion Branch 17 at 10:30 a.m. The parade will proceed West on Albert Street, South on Front Street, East on Sullivan Avenue/Clairmont Street, North on Chapel Street, and West on Albert Street to the Cenotaph in Memorial Park for 11:00 a.m.

Thorold residents are invited to watch the parade and attend the ceremony that will be held at the Cenotaph in Memorial Park. The ceremony will begin at 10:55 a.m. and a moment of silence will commence at 11:00 a.m.

The Poppy Campaign is underway, and poppy flags are currently flying at City Hall, Battle of Beaverdams Park and Thorold Fire Station #1. Residents are invited to purchase a poppy at City Hall reception or various locations throughout the City.
