Vendor and Community Group Application
Welcome Vendors and Community Groups
We are excited to grow this popular local event. The Thorold Community Market will be open Wednesday evenings from 5 to 9 p.m. from June 5 to September 4 with a season finale planned on Saturday, September 14 at Battle of the Beaverdams Park in downtown Thorold. We will be teaming up with the Thorold BIA and host their weekly car show that same evening to attract more visitors from all over the Region. We have a fully licensed patio featuring a local winery and brewery for our guests. We will be showcasing local rock bands throughout the summer to attract residents of all ages. Once we are able, we will be sharing the exciting news with our community! Follow our Facebook and Instagram pages and feel free to share our posts with your followers. We also have a special Thorold Community Market Facebook group which we will be updating regularly with fun photos all summer long.
This summer, we are going to introduce a mix of paid and free Vendor spots. Paid spots will be the ones surrounding the main stage area (marked on the map below) and are available first at a seasonal rate of $200 for the season or can be booked weekly at $15 per spot each week. For anyone requiring hydro we do have a limited number of 15 amp outlets. Hydro access will be an additional $75 if booked for the season or $5 per spot each week based on availability. The free spots are available at the North and South ends of the park. All Vendors will be required to supply a copy of a certificate of their insurance naming The City of Thorold as additionally insured for a minimum of $2,000,000 liability or purchase insurance through our pre-arranged partner. Vendors may have additional requirements which are outlined in the downloadable application.
Set up for Vendors is available from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. with all vehicles expected to be moved and parked out of the park by 4:45 p.m. The public is welcome to browse at 5:00 p.m. The Thorold Community Market will close at 9:00 p.m. At this time, vendors will be able to bring vehicles back into the park to tear down and pack up. There will not be an option to leave early as we are unable to have traffic moving through the park while people are walking around and it is open to the public.
We will continue to offer the Lock Patio each week with two available spots available to accommodate a local winery and brewery or for one larger vendor to take over both. There will be a fee of $75 per spot for this location to cover the cost of the Special Occasions permit required to serve alcoholic beverages.
