Each year, the City of Thorold proudly hosts the Thorold Festival of Lights — a friendly competition allowing neighbours to showcase their festive spirit! Submissions from residents have been added to our voting form below. Please choose your favourite home from the voting form below. We will tally the votes and choose a winner before the Christmas holidays.

Winner of the Thorold Festival of Lights - Congratulations to 68 Albert St. W.!

Every square inch of this home sparkled with holiday cheer — right down to the illuminated archway welcoming visitors at the front door! 🎄✨ This dazzling display was the clear winner of the Thorold Festival of Lights, taking the top spot by a landslide.

Out of 632 total responses, 68 Albert Street captured an incredible 60% of the overall votes.

Holiday Colouring Contest

Each year, alongside the Festival of Lights, the City also hosts a Holiday Colouring Contest for our younger residents. There are two age categories; under 8 years and 9 to 12 years. Entries will be displayed at City Hall for staff to select the winners from the many talented submissions. Below is a link to a photo gallery of all of the holiday masterpieces.

Congratulations to Alayna and Mila, winners of the younger and older age categories. Mayor Terry Ugulini presented both artists with a certificate and a special gift from City Hall to celebrate their creativity and talent. With so many wonderful entries, choosing the winners was no easy task—thank you to everyone who participated and shared their holiday spirit through art! Well done to all our young artists
