Canada Day Celebration

Join us for a spectacular 3-day event of music, celebrating Canada Day and our 50th anniversary! 

The Niagara Jazz Festival presented by TD Ready Commitment will kick off our spectacular three-day celebration starting with International Jazz musicians, artisans and food vendors on Sunday, June 29th from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The festivities will continue on Monday, June 30th with North American Blues musicians at the popular Rock ‘N Blues event from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. On Tuesday, July 1st, we will celebrate City of Thorold's 50th Anniversary at 1 p.m. All three days of free music will include artisans, community booths, and food vendors. We will showcase a Wall of Reflection and a massive birthday card for residents to sign. We will close the 3-day long weekend with fireworks at 10 p.m. All of these free events will take place in Battle of Beaverdams Park.

City of Thorold's 50th Anniversary 

Please bring ID for a wrist band to be able to consume alcoholic beverages in the Park. Only sealed non-alcoholic drinks are allowed by Security. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets, as the City looks forward to a big turn out, and seating will be limited. Although parking is FREE throughout the City, plan to carpool with friends or take the Niagara Region transit. This is not an animal-friendly event, though service animals are welcomed. 

Want to be a food vendor at this year's Canada Day event?

Vendors interested in applying to sell food at this year’s three-day Canada Day event should fill out our digital vendor application and include any necessary documents. All of these PDFs can be emailed to event@thorold.ca. Please include the email subject line “Food Vendor Application – 2025 Canada Day Celebrations – (your business name)”.

The fee for participating Vendors is $250 per location and includes all 3 days of the event. Additional details are available in the Vendor Application package.

Successful applicants will be contacted in order to proceed with next steps such as payment of the Vendor Participation Fee and Certificate of Insurance.  Download the application package via the button below. >>>

Featuring the music of Steely Dan and a band of Firsts. First band to play the Air Canada Centre (now Scotiabank Centre), Casino Rama and Casino Windsor Main Stages. Records can be surmounted but when you’re first in, you’re always that!   First-call musicians: Carmela Long, Glass Tiger; Marco Luciani, Gino Vanelli; Paul DeLong, Kim Mitchell. And the first Dan tribute band, world-wide, to call itself Pretzel Logic.   

 

Orangeman

6 to 7:30 p.m. Orangeman 

Orangeman is an explosive, non-stop, party rock band delivering a carefully compiled song list of knock out dance hits from the ‘70s through to the ‘2ks. Their commitment to musical perfection, strong vocals, and performance has helped to build an impressive following of wildly enthusiastic fans!

The Country Junkies

4 to 5:30 p.m. The Country Junkies 

The Country Junkies are Niagara's premier country band. A true, local "super-group", its members have decades of combined experience in some of Southern Ontario's hottest bands. Their various musical styles combine to create a sound that appeals to almost anyone. Their live show is not one to be missed, with comical antics and a spirited energy that leaves you feeling like you just experienced a big-stage performance.

The Figure Four has over 25 years of performing live music at community events in Niagara. Their "all request party" model is designed to always deliver a one-of-a-kind performance tailored to the event and audience to ensure crowd engagement and satisfaction.

Vinyl Flux is Southern Ontario’s premiere classic rock powerhouse of seasoned and accomplished professional musicians that strive for perfect replication of every song they play. Performing songs from some of the greatest classic rock artists of our time, their repertoire features note-for-note renditions of legendary artists and musical heroes that inspired generations of great musicians.
