Thorold Canada Day Celebrations and Blues on the Battlefield take place on Canada Day Weekend Each Year. Our Canada Day Celebrations feature live bands, food trucks, family entertainment and culminate in a fantastic firework display. Blues on the Battlefield follows Canada Day on the first Saturday in July. This event pay homage to Thorold's Blues roots and features lives Blues artists. Both events are free to the public.
City of Thorold Canada Day Celebrations will take place July 1st from 12:00PM-10:15PM. The event will feature live music, family entertainment, food and drink vendors finishing with fireworks. Join us to celebrate Canada's birthday!
City of Thorold Blues on the Battlefield will take place July 2nd from 12:00PM-8:00PM. The event pay homage to Thorold's blues roots, with several live bands throughout the afternoon and evening. Food and beverage vendors will be available for your enjoyment.

The City of Thorold is known for its patriotism. In the past years, residents and businesses have come together to decorate the City with as many Canada Day Flags as possible. This year, the tradition is being revived. Send us a picture of your business or home decorated with as many Canada Day Flags as possible. The City will track the total number of flags displayed in Thorold. There will also be an option to add your home/ business for an interactive map to track all of the most patriotic places in Thorold.

Volunteers play a crucial role in Community Celebrations. We use volunteers to help greet guests, answer questions and assist with activities.
Vendors enhance events through providing specialized services. Food trucks, craft booths and community groups are welcome to apply.
