In 2018 the City of Thorold began developing the Battle of Beaverdams Park Master Plan. This initiative was started to revitalize and make improvements to the historic Downtown Park for residents to continue to enjoy for years to come. The City finalized the Battle of Beaverdams Park Master Plan and the construction portion of the project began June 2021. This work will be completed in partnership with Greenspace Construction Inc. www.Greenspacegroup.ca

Partial funding from the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) which is a cost-shared infrastructure funding program between the federal government, provinces and territories, and municipalities and other recipients. This program will see up to $30 billion in combined federal, provincial and other partner funding, under four priority areas, including Community, Culture and Recreation.
