Thorold Tourism on Phone

The City of Thorold is excited to announce the launch of our new Thorold Tourism website. This platform is designed to promote our rich cultural heritage, highlight the unique attractions that make our community special, and provide visitors with a comprehensive guide to all that Thorold has to offer. By cultivating a loyal tourist base and encouraging exploration, the website will also play a key role in stimulating economic activity, supporting local businesses, and enhancing the city's visibility. This initiative is a vital part of our Strategic Plan, as we continue to grow and build a thriving, vibrant community for both residents and visitors alike.

“Thorold offers a unique blend of history, nature, and local charm. Visitors can watch ships at Lock 7, enjoy a scenic ferry ride, explore the city’s industrial heritage, and take part in outdoor activities and vibrant local festivals – making it a hidden gem in the Niagara Region.” Manoj Dilwaria, Chief Administrative Officer

Thorold Tourism highlights four key areas of interest for visitors exploring our community: Active, Events, Explore, and Heritage. The Active section invites you to enjoy our beautiful parks, trails, and recreational spaces. The Events section celebrates the vibrant community happenings that make Thorold unique. In the Explore section, visitors can dine, shop, and stay in our charming downtown. Lastly, the Heritage section offers an interactive in-house map, guiding you through virtual walking and driving tours of our historic homes and famous gravestones, showcasing Thorold's rich past. Please visit our new Thorold Tourism site at this link and come experience all that Thorold has to offer in person.

“Explore the charm in the City of Thorold’s Downtown, where rich history, local attractions, and vibrant culture come together. Stroll through picturesque streets, come down to the Battle of Beaverdams Park, visit unique shops, and discover the stories that shaped our community. Whether you're enjoying the warmth of our welcoming locals, indulging in delicious food, music, or taking in the scenic beauty, Thorold offers an unforgettable experience. We invite you to visit, explore, and make lasting memories in our beloved city!" Mayor Terry Ugulini
