Media Release : Official plaque unveiling at the new Lakeview Cemetery office

On Friday, February 21st, the City of Thorold hosted an official plaque unveiling at the new Lakeview Cemetery office located at 3651 Thorold Townline Road to mark the completion of this project.
To better serve the many families who visit Lakeview Cemetery, this new office is now officially open to the public. The office hours will be Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The building is accessible with a barrier-free door and washroom. Parking is free onsite.
Cemetery Services is undergoing significant growth and change and, as such, the City is also designing an additional Mausoleum which will offer two hundred new crypts and numerous niches. There will be stunning wall features incorporated into dramatic landscape features.
"I would like to thank City staff and everyone involved in completing this project on-time and within budget. The reopening of the Lakeview Cemetery office is a testament to the City's dedication to enhancing customer service levels. This new facility sets a new standard for accessibility in order to better serve our community" says Manoj Dilwaria, Chief Administrative Officer.
We look forward to welcoming everyone to our new office at Lakeview Cemetery. Residents can arrange to find a resting place, donate a commemorative bench, or plant a memorial tree for their loved one.
