Free public skating over the Holiday Season

The City of Thorold and various community sponsors will be offering twelve free public skates at the Thorold Community Arena during this holiday season with free treats, giveaways and festive music playing in the background.

We still have some time slots available for sponsors highlighted in bold below who would like to take part in this unique marketing opportunity. If you’re interested in participating, please contact Community Services.

Residents are invited to come out for the following free skates:

• Friday, December 19 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

• Sunday, December 21 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

• Tuesday, December 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
• Saturday, December 27 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

• Sunday, December 28 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

• Monday, December 29 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Thorold Community Arena will be closed for the following statutory holidays: December 24, 25, 26, and January 1.

55+ Skates will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Residents are reminded they can view the Thorold Community Arena programming schedule on the arena calendar located on the City’s website. Please note: The City and its sponsors do not provide skates or skate aids.
