Bridge-It and Lock 7

The City of Thorold's "Bridge-It" Ferry and Lock 7 Viewing Complex have been preparing to open our tourist destinations this spring.

Bridge-It, is a unique ferry service that crosses the Welland Canal located in Port Robinson. This service provides a vital link for the growing number of hikers and cyclists to our area.

Bridge-It will be in full operation starting this Saturday, May 17 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. for seven days a week, weather permitting.

Lock 7 Viewing Complex is situated on top of the Niagara Escarpment, along the Welland Canal. At this location, we offer extraordinary views of the ships navigating the Locks. Tourists can stop in at our Centre and view "ships climbing the mountain" while they are learning all about the City of Thorold.

Lock 7 Viewing Complex will open its doors to welcome tourists starting this Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Monday, October 13, 2025.

We are looking forward to meeting everyone this summer. Learn more about Bridge-It and Lock 7 Viewing Complex by visiting our new Thorold Tourism website.
