Parking

Monthly parking permits are available for the following parking lots.

• Lot #1 – Located on Towpath Road between Albert Street West and Sullivan Avenue
• Lot #3 – Located on Albert Street West between Pine Street South and Front Street South
• Lot #4B – Located on Ormond Street South between Albert Street East and Sullivan Avenue

Parking tickets may be paid in person at City Hall (Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm):

• All parking tickets must be paid within 15 days from the date of the penalty notice.
• Any tickets which are not paid within 15 days from the date of the penalty notice will be subject to additional administrative fees.
• To contest a parking ticket please complete and submit a request for Screening form.
• All screening requests must be submitted within 15 days from the date of the penalty notice. Screening requests must be submitted to City Hall at the address noted above or by email.
  
• To contest a screening decision, please complete and submit a Request for Hearing form.

The City of Thorold accepts Visa and MasterCard payments via Paymentus, a third party automated payment service. Credit card payments can only be made online or by phone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A convenience fee is charged on each transaction.

There are two ways to pay by Visa or MasterCard:

1. To pay by phone please call the toll-free number 1-855-619-2400 and follow the pre-recorded instructions
2. To pay online please go to the Paymentus website or click above

Payments made by Visa or MasterCard are processed the next business day. Please ensure that your payment is made one business day before the due date to avoid any late payment charges.

• Parking downtown is free for the first 2 hours.
• Visit the interactive map available to find parking locations within downtown Thorold.
• Parking is limited to a maximum 12 hour limit throughout the City of Thorold.
• Obey all parking signs.

• Street parking is not permitted during or after a snowfall until the roads have been cleared by the plows.
• Obey all signs.

These lots vary between permit only lots, pay by plate lots and free lots.
