Overview
The City of Thorold has initiated a Class Environmental Assessment study for the reconstruction of Decew Road between Richmond Street and Beaverdams Road, in the City of Thorold. The road is in poor condition and is without cycling paths or consistent sidewalks.
In addressing the need to reconstruct the road, the study will also consider: geometric and operational improvements to the road and intersections; street lighting, improved pedestrian and cyclist amenities. The project will also include recommendations for upgrades and replacement of underground services (watermain, storm and sanitary sewer).
Process |
The project is being completed as a Schedule “B” project in accordance with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, as amended. As such, public and technical agency consultation will be fundamental in developing the study recommendations. |
