Volunteer Firefighter Recruitment
Volunteer Firefighter Recruitment has been completed for 2023, thank you to everyone that expressed an interest.
Information sessions will be held late in the fall of 2023. These sessions are to provide a complete overview of Thorold Fire and Emergency Services, the recruitment process, and candidate expectations.
All candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age;
- Have a minimum "G " drivers license
- Have minimum Grade 12 education; and
- Live within the boundaries of the City of Thorold, and within the District they are applying for. There are no exceptions

Application forms will be collected at the information sessions. Application forms can also be mailed or dropped off at City Hall or emailed to Bertha.goucher@thorold.ca. along with the following:
- Cover letter and resume; and
- Supporting documents such as copies of certificates, diplomas, transcript, etc.
